LAS Meeting May 21

The Longmont Astronomical Society will meet on Thursday, May 21st at 7 pm in the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center conference room (#2C-406). This is in the U.S. Dept. of Commerce Skaggs Building, 325 Broadway, Boulder Co. Access to the building is controlled. You must be a LAS member to attend and you must sign up no later than 10 pm Monday, May 18. Send an email to Vern to get on the sign-up sheet.

 

 

 

 The speaker will be Dr. Doug Biesecker who will review some of the science discoveries from the STEREO satellites. We also will visit the Earth System Research Laboratory's Science On a Sphere and view SOHO and STEREO images as well as other planets and moons.
