Image Gallery HowTo

  1. You need to request an account.  Only LAS members may have an account on this website. Click on the "Create Account" on the navigation menu near the bottom on the left hand side of the page.
  2. Enter your "Username" -- this is the name that will appear for your image gallery and your forum postings
  3. Enter your email address, a temporary password will be sent to you.
  4. Send webmaster@longmontastro.org a note asking that a web gallery be created for you
  5. Once you receive your user name and password by email, login to your account.
  6. Click on the menu item called "Create Content" about half way down the navigation menu
  7. Select the content type "Image"
  8. Enter a title for image, for example "Saturn on Feb. 9, 2008"
  9. Under "Image Galleries", select the name of your gallery.
  10. Click the "Browse" button and locate the image on your computer and click "Open"
  11. Enter any notes under "Body"
  12. Click the "Submit" button

    NOTE Images must be less than 500 KBytes in size
